Preconomics is being built to help owners, developers and architects see what a building will cost while the design can still change. The people who know what a trade scope really costs are the contractors who build it. This page is the exchange we are offering them.
The exchange
- You give an opinion. We send you a short description of one trade scope on a project at concept stage. You tell us, in about two minutes, what you think: a rough unit rate or total, how long it would take, lead times, and what you would assume.
- It is not a bid. No drawings to take off, no proposal to write, and no commitment. We ask for your judgement, not a number you are held to.
- You earn invitations. Contractors who contribute are the ones we invite when a relevant project goes out to bid. What "relevant" means (trade, region, project size) we are working out with the first contractors who join.
